“Excavating Childhood” represents an exploration of aspects of Mr. Carr’s youth between 1975 and 1983. While walking around the backyard of his childhood home in 2008, he noticed a number of plastic scale model parts eroding out of the ground. Being an archaeologist by profession, he was intrigued. Finding these “artifacts” prompted him to explore his early artwork from the same time. The exhibition features a series of photo collages and drawings based on the study of these artifacts, old photographs, drawings, and toys.
I'm excited to announce my next solo exhibition
